Secure Data Erasure
Under the Data Protection Act, if you handle personal information about individuals, you have a number of legal obligations to protect information. Breach of these obligations can result in heavy penalties for those responsible.
PABS works closely with market leading Data Erasure software, which is approved with Certifications, referrals or confirmations from CESG, NSTL, TUV, NSM, USA DoD and NATO. Among others, the Erasure Standards include HMG Infosec Standard No: 5, U.S. Department of Defense Sanitizing, NSA (Overwrite standard by National Security Agency).
PABS has used this software for it's customers, including high street retailers, who recognise that it provides fully traceable and auditable records for their data protection responsibilities.

SAP System
PABS SAP system is specifically designed for dealing with the return, inspection, maintenance, repair, secure data erasure and despatch of serialised products.
It automates the movement of products between departments and allows the recording of parts & labour items at each point in the process.
Utilising the standard SAP Business One SDK and Service Module business logic, PABS SAP system enhances the user interface to improve operational efficiencies where it is necessary to process products quickly between departments.

Asset Management
Asset management entails the management of the physical components of computers and computer networks, from acquisition through disposal.
Common business practices include request and approval process, procurement management, life cycle management, redeployment and disposal management. A key component is capturing the financial information about the hardware life cycle which aids the organization in making business decisions based on meaningful and measurable financial objectives.
PABS can help companies to manage this complete process from supply of hardware, through to their sale or disposal to maximize cost savings.

Repair
PABS provides a service centre for repair of consumer electronics for manufacturers, retailers and the public. We can carry out warranty repairs for manufacturers, and have manufacturer trained/approved engineers.
We can also source, and hold stocks of parts to repair older out of warranty items that the manufacturers will no longer support.

Refurbishment
Refurbishment is the preferred method of disposal for many retailers higher value consumer electronic returns. Refurbishment can return the item to an 'as-new' condition, both aesthetically and mechanically. This ensures maximum re-sale value and increased return for the retailer compared to sales of raw returns.
Refurbishment may also incorporate data erasure in the case of computers, smart phones, etc. This provides an all in one solution for the retailer, protecting against customers personal data being made public, which is always a danger when selling on raw returns.

Recycling
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) was introduced into UK law in January 2007 by the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment Regulations 2006.
The WEEE Directive aims to reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment being produced and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover it.
The WEEE Directive also aims to improve the environmental performance of businesses that manufacture, supply, use, recycle and recover electrical and electronic equipment.
